Virtual Christmas Jumper Day to Support our 2020 Charities
In the spirit of the festive season, the ByteSnap team held a Virtual Christmas Jumper Day to support our 2020 charities – with silly sweaters and wacky hats a-plenty, and even one dinosaur!
The team nominated the B30 Food Bank, the Cystic Fibrosis Trust and the mental health charity Mind to support this year.
In particular, as well as donating money to the three charities, we have been collecting much needed food and household items to donate to the B30 Food Bank to help them support local people facing a struggle to feed themselves this Christmas.
About Our Christmas 2020 Charities
The B30 Foodbank was founded through the Trussell Trust and believes that no one should ever go hungry. They are a local project, providing food, sanitary items and other essentials to those struggling in the Kings Norton, Longbridge and Cotteridge area. 1 in 5 people live below the poverty line and food banks across the country provide invaluable help to thousands of people every week.
The Cystic Fibrosis Trust works to support people with Cystic Fibrosis and their families to ensure they have full access to information and can make the best decisions about their health and life possible. In addition, they are funding vital research to develop treatments that aim to transform the lives of those with cystic fibrosis for the better.
Mind provides advice and support to anyone suffering from a mental health problem. They are also campaigning for improvements to services and to raise awareness. 1 in 4 people suffer from mental health problems every year and Mind is there to fight your corner. They educate and support to empower people to make the best choices about their condition for them.
This Christmas, many people need help more than ever, and we have been fortunate enough to help some of them.
