Join ByteSnap at Stand L22 at EDS 2021

AI Gesture recognition technology and accelerated GUI development for 4k displays will be showcased by ByteSnap’s embedded systems consultants at the hotly-anticipated Engineering Design Show, EDS 2021, this October.

Join us in Coventry at the UK’s biggest show for engineering, electronics and embedded design. It’s an opportunity to access to not only ByteSnap’s the latest on services and innovations, but also workshops on industry trends and best practice.

Try our Interactive Machine Learning Demo on Stand L22

With AI and deep learning becoming a staple in many sectors, we’ll be displaying our image recognition capabilities with the Digi ConnectCore 8x.

Experience our Machine Learning demonstration on Stand L22. The interactive gesture recognition program features a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) classifier, applied to Computer Vision. The demo is based around an interactive pirate game, with body gestures processed using a regular USB camera as input.

Upgrade to SnapUI for faster GUI development

Also, on stand our stand at EDS 2021, a 1.8m-tall traffic sign running on ByteSnap’s flexible OpenGL framework, SnapUI.

The demo drives the sign’s bank of 160×64 LEDs – showing SnapUI can be used for prototyping and production and the demo shows SnapUI’s ease of use on challenging output devices.

The newest iteration of SnapUI is optimised for 4k displays and now runs on the i.MX8. SnapUI is also available on the Windows, Linux, MAC OS, Raspberry Pi and QNX platforms. All framework graphics elements are accelerated to prioritise efficiency; performance when running the demo at a blistering 60 fps is just 20% CPU load.

Benefit from outsourced electronics product development expertise

Our consultants can also share their product development expertise from multiple projects – most recently including –

  • Windows to Linux migration for embedded electronics devices
  • IoT device development
  • Logistics tracking
  • Smart city design
  • Detection software in the fight against human trafficking
  • EV smart charging design

– and show you how your development can benefit from outsourcing.

EDS 2021 – what’s in it for you

The Engineering Design Show is the UK’s leading electronics product design event, generally attracting over 3,000 visitors. EDS 2021 organisers say attendees can expect a three-strand immersive experience of inspiration, innovation and insight on industry trends and the latest advances in product design through

– Attending seminars by industry-leading experts: hundreds of companies are going to attend EDS, giving out valuable insights on the electronic design industry, and

– Networking with other tech leaders and suppliers and increase valuable industry connections.

The exhibition returns to the Coventry Building Society Arena, Coventry on 19-20 October as a live, in-person event.
